Volunteers at the Save the Children Shop in Fulwood, Preston celebrate a double achievement. The volunteer run shop on Sharoe Green Lane has been open for 10 years and Volunteer Shop Leader Frances Seth has been awarded the B.E.M for her services to the charity.

Frances has been part of Preston fundraising Branch of Save the Children for 25 years and was with a branch in Liverpool before that. Finding and helping to open the shop, Frances volunteers several times a week and says the success of the shop is down to the fantastic group of volunteers, the generous donors of goods to sell and the amazing customers many of whom visit more than once a week.
