Rossendale Branch’s Strawberry Delight raises a record £1,780
A record £1,780 was raised by Rossendale branch of Save the Children in their Strawberry Delight Day. Volunteers made and delivered portions of fresh strawberry and whipped cream covered scones, as well as a slice of Victoria sponge cake, to businesses around Rawtenstall in what has become an annual tradition. Save the Children Week 2018 – Rossendale Branch
Two events during Save The Children Week brought in over £500 for the Rossendale branch. A day’s collecting at TESCO Haslingden netted £365 and a bric-a-brac stall at Rawtenstall market the following day added £150 to the Week’s total.
