East Lancashire School raises £2184 for Save the Children

Congratulations to the staff and students at Rhyddings Business and Enterprise School for raising this fantastic amount.

The school situated in  Oswaldtwistle near Blackburn started fundraising in late 2015 and it culminated with a cheque of £2,184.95 being sent to Save the Children last month.

The current refugee crisis was the catalyst for the fundraising which included  a gaming competition, Christmas jumper days, and a cake sale. A ‘sponge the teacher’ event  was a huge success, as was  a 5K run for Y10 which raised an amazing amount of money.

Particular commendation goes to certain individuals who have personally raised a lot of money: Declan Catterall, Ihsan Mahmood, Haarith Muhammed, Kieron Chippendale and Sabah Zaman .

To everyone involved, on behalf of all of us at Save the Children
THANKYO!
