Pre Christmas lunch raises over £900

The Preston branch of Save the Children held their pre Christmas lunch at The Old Bank in Kirkham in late November.

The staff and management pulled out all the stops to help make our lunch in November a such a huge success. Forty diners were each greeted with a glass of chilled prosecco.  A delicious choice of starters was followed by equally scrummy mains and (optional) desserts. Tea or coffee rounded off the lovely meal.

A raffle on the day helped raise the our total profit from the event to £910 which will make a difference to some of the poorest children in the UK and worldwide.

The completely renovated Old Bank on Poulton Street only opened last summer but should be a very popular destination for lovers of good food.

As ever the branch is very grateful to all concerned for helping make this, our first physical  event after the covid lock-downs, such an outstanding success.
